Claude MCP connector

Connect blogr to Claude and run your content engine from a conversation: see how your articles perform, approve titles, plan the calendar, and edit drafts.

How it works

The blogr connector gives Claude access to your blogr account through blogr's MCP server. Once you connect it, you can ask Claude how your content is doing, what is scheduled next, which titles are waiting for you, and which pages of your topical map are still missing. You can also ask it to approve or decline titles, add your own ideas, move articles on the calendar, and edit drafts.

Claude acts as you, with your team role on each website. It sees the same websites you see in blogr and can change only what your role allows. It works in Claude on the web, the desktop and mobile apps, Cowork, and Claude Code.

What you need

  • A blogr account. Each website's data is available while its owner has an active plan or trial.
  • A Claude account that can add connectors.

Connect Claude

blogr is listed in the Claude connector directory, so connecting takes one click:

  1. Open the blogr connector in the Claude directory.
  2. Select Connect. Claude opens blogr, where you sign in and choose Allow access.
  3. In a chat, select + and then Connectors, and check that blogr is switched on.
  4. Ask something like "How did my blog do this month?"

Add blogr to Claude

Your Claude organization turned off directory connectors? Add blogr as a custom connector instead: open Customize, then Connectors, add a custom connector named blogr, and paste this URL:

https://blogr.ai/mcp

In Claude Code, run this once and then sign in when Claude Code opens your browser:

claude mcp add --transport http blogr https://blogr.ai/mcp

The blogr plugin for Claude adds the connector together with ready-made skills: a weekly SEO review, a content plan review, an article refresh, and turning an article into social posts.

Things to ask

  • "How did my content do this week, and what needs my attention?"
  • "What is scheduled next, and which titles are waiting for my approval?"
  • "Which silos in my topical map are still thin? Approve the three best titles there."
  • "Add an article about Laravel queues in production and schedule it for next Tuesday."
  • "Which articles slipped in Google? Rewrite their meta descriptions."
  • "Turn my latest article into a LinkedIn post."

What Claude can do

Claude reads without asking. Every tool that changes something is marked as a write, so Claude asks you to confirm before it runs.

What Claude cannot do

  • Publish, delete or archive articles. Publishing stays in blogr, so nothing reaches your live site from Claude.
  • Start writing an article early. Approved titles are written on their scheduled day, within your monthly allowance.
  • See or change billing, website settings, team members, or your publishing connection and its tokens.

An edit to a published article is saved in blogr. The live page changes the next time you publish that article from blogr.

Team roles

Claude follows your role on each website. Viewers can read everything they see in the app, and Claude cannot change anything for them. Editors and admins can approve, decline, add, reschedule and edit through Claude. Owners can do all of it.

Limits

  • 120 requests per minute per account, across every assistant you connect.
  • 200 changes per account per hour.
  • 25 titles added through an assistant per website per day.

Past a limit, Claude gets a message saying so and can try again later. Nothing you do in the app counts toward these limits.

Your data

  • Claude receives only what you ask for: your websites, articles, topical map, Search Console performance and opportunities.
  • blogr never sees your Claude conversations. For each request it records which tool ran, on which website, whether it worked and how long it took, and deletes that record after 90 days.
  • Claude signs in with its own access token, which never includes your password. To disconnect, remove the blogr connector in Claude.

Once Claude receives data from blogr, Anthropic handles it under its privacy policy. Read blogr's own privacy policy for what we store.

Troubleshooting

  • "blogr needs an active plan or trial": start a plan or trial on the account that owns the website.
  • "Your role does not allow this": ask the website owner to give you the Editor or Admin role.
  • Claude asks you to sign in again: your connection expired after 90 days without use. Connect again from Claude.
