Duda

How it works

Duda is a website builder with a built-in blog, popular with agencies that run many client sites. With the connection in place, clicking Publish imports the article into your chosen site's blog through Duda's API, sets its URL path and SEO details, and publishes it. The post appears on your live site right away, with no steps to run in the Duda editor.

Before you start

• API access is part of Duda's Custom plan. If you don't see API Access in your dashboard, ask the Duda team about upgrading.
• The site you publish into needs the blog feature turned on. In the Duda editor, add the blog from the site's pages if it isn't there yet.

Connect Duda

1. In your Duda dashboard, open Business Tools → API Access.
2. Copy the API username and the API password shown there.
3. In your blogr.ai dashboard, open Setup → Publishing, choose Duda, and paste both values.
4. Save. We verify the credentials with Duda. If they reach one site, that site is selected automatically; otherwise pick which site articles should publish into.

A website publishes to one destination, so connecting Duda replaces any other integration on the website.

What gets published

• The article body lands as the post content: headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and images.
• The title becomes the post title, and the meta description becomes the post description shown on your blog index.
• The article's slug becomes the post's URL path, and the SEO page title fills the post's meta title.
• Categories and tags merge into the post's tag list.
• The generated share image fills the post's main image and its thumbnail.
• Inner pages from your topical map (pricing, comparisons, services, locations) become site pages at the path the map designed — /pricing/ lands at /pricing, /compare/acme-alternatives/ at /compare/acme-alternatives — with the SEO title, description, and share image in the page settings, and the page content in a paragraph widget you can restyle in the editor.
• Duda only takes a new page live with a site publish, so publishing an inner page publishes your site. Any change still staged in the editor goes live with it.

The article's URL on your site is recorded on the article in your workspace.

Failed deliveries and retries

If Duda rejects a publish, say expired credentials, a deleted site, a missing blog, or a rate limit, the article is marked "Failed to publish" in your workspace with the reason on the row. Fix the cause (or reconnect in Setup → Publishing) and click Retry publish.

Good to know

• Publishing an article again replaces the post at the same URL. Duda's API can't change a post's content in place, so the old copy is removed and a fresh one takes its spot. Inner pages work the same way: a republish removes the page at that path, including any widgets you added to it, and creates it afresh.
• Your credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown again after saving. Paste new ones anytime to rotate them.
• Resetting the API password in Duda breaks the connection. If you reset it, reopen the Duda setup and paste the new password.
• You can switch the target site anytime by reopening the Duda setup and picking another.
• Duda's API rate limits apply. If a publish hits one, retry a minute later.
